Giving Truly Comes
From The Heart

Our Mission

I created this business because I truly believe something very simple but very powerful: we all give, receive and experience gifts differently. And sometimes, that difference really matters.

Hello, I'm Claire

The founder and owner of The Emotional Gifting Company with her 2 kids.

The founder and owner of The Emotional Gifting Company.

I'm based on the South Coast with my husband and our two beautiful girls, who mean absolutely everything to me. Being a mum is, without doubt, the most challenging role I've ever had - but also the most rewarding. It has shaped who I am, taught me more than any job ever could, and inspired me to build something meaningful, not just for myself, but for my family to be proud of.

Before raising my girls, I've spent 25 years working in retail, finishing my career in retail as an Area Manager. I achieved a great deal, but nothing has ever brought me as much fulfilment as motherhood - and now, building The Emotional Gifting Company.

Our Story

  • Let me share a personal story.

For my first birthday after we married, my husband James bought me… an electric stapler. You might be thinking, "That's quite sweet" - but I don't even use a stapler.

To make things harder, we had married in April 2013 and just one month later, James deployed at sea for eight months with the Navy. I opened that gift alone, on my birthday, in June. It wasn't about the item itself - it was about how unseen and unthought of I felt in that moment.

Later on, James surprised me with an iPad whilst I visited him in Puerto Rico, and although that was an amazing gesture, it never quite erased that earlier feeling.

    That experience stayed with me.

    Because gifting isn't about money.
    It's not about scale.
It's about feeling understood, valued and truly thought about.

  • Some of the most meaningful gifts I've ever received have been the simplest. When I started a new role as an Area Manager, I was gifted a travel mug. I used it every single day. Anyone who knows me knows how much I love a proper hot cup of tea, and that gift was perfect. Thoughtful. Personal. Right.

That's what gifting should feel like.

I firmly believe that the right gift can strengthen relationships, deepen connections and make people feel genuinely valued. Research supports this too - you can explore more on sites like Psychology Today or Activity Superstore, which both highlight the emotional impact behind giving.

  • You may have heard of the “5 love languages” or not. The “5 love languages” are five unique ways people express and receive emotional love in relationships, a concept developed by author Dr Gary Chapman. Understanding these languages helps partners/family communicate affection more effectively.

That's exactly where The Emotional Gifting Company comes in.

When you use our service, we provide the opportunity to complete a Love Languages assessment. This helps us truly understand the recipient, so we can select and create something that feels right for them. Not generic - personal.

Because that's what makes the difference.

Because everyone deserves to feel thought of, everyone deserves to feel special sometimes. That belief sits right at the heart of this business.

You may also have heard of the "Five Love Languages".

If your love language is gifts, small, meaningful gestures regularly help you feel appreciated. If it’s quality time, then an experience shared together might mean far more. Understanding this is key.

That’s exactly where The Emotional Gifting Company comes in.

When you use our service, we provide the opportunity to complete a Love Languages assessment. This helps us truly understand the recipient, so we can select and create something that feels right for them. Not generic - personal.

My Favorites

Surprise Cardy

One of my favourite things to do is something I call "Surprise Cardy". It's for someone going through a difficult time. Friends, family and colleagues send thoughtful cards over a few weeks, creating a steady flow of kindness and support. The impact is incredible.

Box of Sunshine

Another favourite is a "Box of Sunshine" - filled with yellow items chosen to lift someone's mood. Something simple, thoughtful, unexpected. Delivered to their door. The smile it creates is everything.

Care Packages

When James was away at sea, I used to send him monthly care packages - photos, games, little personal touches, things to make him smile. But I later found out that some people on that same deployment received nothing at all. So I started sending care packages to them too.

At The Emotional Gifting Company, we don't just send gifts. We create moments. We build connection. We help people feel seen.

And when you're ready to create something truly meaningful, visit our payment page and choose the emotion you want to send. Because the right gift doesn't just say "I got you something". It says "I understand you". And that's what makes it unforgettable.
